A heart rate of down to 40 can be normal during sleep. Not sure what a rheumy will know - mine says clearly to ask my cardiologist!!!!

Is there any possibility that there was a connection issue? Not moving which you “never” do is suspicious. Like PMRPro, I don’t think I’d be asking a rheumatologist if I was really worried about a cardiac issue.

I have a cardio appointment right after seeing rheumo tomorrow

My heart rate is often between 40-50 when sleeping, and resting rate is generally around 55. As already suggested if you are worried then a Cardiologist is probably a better get than a Rheumy.

I had a similar experience My Apple Watch pinging every 15 minutes telling me my heart rate had drop to 35 bpm

As I felt well I ignored it

My wife didn’t. She called 111 and spoke to a clinician ,upshot of this I was taken by emergency ambulance to A&E

I was rushed into Rescus and put on a monitor I was closely monitored throughout the night I had extreme Bradycardia It sounded like Tubular bells with the alarms going off all the time. My Bpm dropped to 29 at one point

The outcome was I had a pacemaker fitted the next day and now feel fine

So don’t ignore you smart watch alarms

I hope that you get the correct treatment for this

Regards

Brian

I can just beat that! My bradys were allowing up to 7 second pauses, that's under 10 bpm!!! It was a Friday so had to wait until Monday for the pacemaker!

My sleeping heartrate regularly drops below 50. I take bisoprolol at night, but it takes all night to drop to 50, sometimes 45 but never lower. It doesn't worry me.
