Thanks for response. Aches and pains and stiffness are apparent when I flare up but reducing 3/2 I was only affected mildly which made me wonder if it was flare up starting or arthritic symptoms. Dorset lady has given me some good ideas.
I would love to help but I can't because I did just as my Dr told me. Soon I had a hip problem and waited for that to be dealt with. Now I am walking well but suffer with stiffness which eases with exercise. I belong to a support group, which I would encourage you to do if at all possible. We all have ups and downs with our health but having friends in such a group is very helpful. We talk about our difficulties, give tips on diet etc and laugh. I hope you will find someone, preferably more who you can share with.
hello moconnolly, I have slowly been tapering over the last two years and am now down to 1mg which I have been on for the last six weeks. I think a slow taper is best, but am reluctant to drop any further. You will get there, just go slowly.
I started 2 years ago on 15mg of Prednisolone. Since dropping down successfully to 10mg, I have reduced by 1mg over six weeks at a time. This has allowed by body to adjust, on the whole I have managed ok. I am now starting my 3rd week on 1mg. I have to be mindful not to overdo things physically, as I hurt the next day and can get tired easily. I am due to check in with my GP shortly.
