Feeling frustrated at the moment, thought I was making progress but pain in arms and legs as increased in last few weeks. GP consult yesterday and advised to up steroids. Flare up due most likely to with drawing steroids to quickly. It will be slower now and every 4 - 6 weeks by 1 mg. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Not sure what dose you are actually on now, but if below 6 or 7mg probably better to reduce by only 0.5mg [that dose can be reached by mixing various doses sizes or cutting plain white tablets in half] - plus also using one of the slower tapering plans we are always promoting on here - both similar - one based on daily view, the other on weeks...which suits you best -

Started on 15mg of prednisolone at the beginning of December and had come down to 7.5 3 weeks ago.

That’s quick… so you definitely need to slow down now… and if it’s a flare which is highly likely you may need to follow the protocol in following link to get things back under control first before you even consider future tapers -

It would be really helpful if you told us your current dose and how fast you have tapered - I take it you have had PMR for about 6 months or so? But since you have been on the HU forum such a long time it isn't clear when PMR joined in and how you have got on since then. It isn;t that we are nosey but it is to help us help you.
