Reduction of steroids—Extreme exhaustion, loss of appetite and weight, weakness, dry coughing, numb chin. All but the numb chin could be symptoms of low cortisol. A lower spine MRI to find a pinched nerve that had been hurting my glute resulted in an immediate call from radiologist to get to ER for an abdominal clot. A CT scan to confirm the clot instead came up with swollen spleen and swollen lymph nodes above and below diaphragm. In other words, beware of the confusion that can result between low cortisol and other potential disease.

Indeed - it isn't always pred or lack of pred. But it is up to your doctors to monitor and check symptoms.
Hope it all turns out well. Keep us informed.
Sorry to hear that. Dry coughing is not an adrenal thing and the other symptoms are so general aren’t they? That’s the trouble with poor adrenal function; it can make one feel so low but it’s the outlier symptom that shoots up the red flag.
what a shock. Let us know how it goes? Wishing you well!
