Noted discussion the other day about a couple of highly recommended rheumatologists , forgotten their names ….Oxfordshire way I think .Got me thinking if anybody out there living in the South West has any thoughts about rheumatologists , physios in my area ? Or anything else to do with PMR etc for that matter ! I live on the Devon /Cornwall border , so north or south doable ,to be quite honest I’d consider Timbuktu……….

Hi, I run the Truro support group & I think you may be thinking of Dr Mark Hughes based at the RoyalCornwall Hospital. He has a particular interest in GCA & so may not be ideal. He does pop into our meetings, we have one next week & so I can ask his advice, I have had good reports of Dr David Hutchinson. There is a good description of the department on Cornwall Arthritis Trust website with names of secretaries etc. The Plymouth support group should have suggestions though, which would be more convenient for you. All the best
My rheumy is called Doctor Khurshid and he has been brilliant. Very matter of factish but that suits me. He is based in Poole hospital. I have seen the most amazing physios at Lymington hospital Luke Walker is awesome as is Brendan Mc Caffey. I have GCA and spinal stenosis.
