Diagnosed in the fall of 2022 with PMR.
Put on 13mg daily, the relief from the discomfort of PMR was immediate; overnight to be specific.
The next month, began reducing my dosage about 1mg/mo.
On 2023-10-06, began every other day dosage of 1mg.
On 2023-12-26 I took my last dose and so far, so good.
I mentioned to my doctor on 2023-12-26 that I had read of the possible association of PMR with the COVID shots, that my PMR hit me within 24 hours of my second booster and that I was most reluctant to get another COVID vaccination. He concurred, told me to forgo any more COVID boosters, and if I get COVID again (I had a mild case this Jan), he will put me on Paxlovid immediately.
During the EOD dosage, I returned to almost daily, one-hour rows at the gym. I also bought a bicycle and am taking 22 mile rides on a bike trail once or twice a week.
