So six months ago I posted on here about a flare after having the covid vaccination. I chose not to have another one . Things eventually settled down and I was down to 2mg then had more pains so have been on 5mg for the past 3 weeks . I have just completed a 5 day course of an Antibiotic for a chest infection and now have really bad shoulder neck and buttock pains as before.
Anyone else experience similar ?
Guess I should increase pred to 10mg for a while as suggested in the link dealing with a flare.
So disappointed 😞

Could it be the infection that caused the flare rather than the antibiotics? Have you coughed a lot with the chest infection? Nothing like a decent cough to upset the upper torso.
Thank you for your response. It could be the virus/infection that has caused the flare. I didn't cough that much though but did have some chest pains which Is why I had the AB.
I think it is much more likely to have been what was a fairly severe infection if you needed abx.
I had a reaction to my vaccine last year - atrial fibrillation not PMR - but I still had the jab this year because if the jab did that - what would Covid do? And I didn't even really get a sore arm this year.
