Itchy back

Do I remember someone posting that they had an itchy neck & shoulders? I’ve had this for about a week now. I’m on 8mg Pred & have been for 8 weeks as finding some joints a bit painful again. Just wondering if it’s connected in some way?

I get it every now and then across my shoulder blades that can last a few days then go. I'm on 5mg Pred

Do you mean painful JOINTS? PMR is not so much the joints themselves ar the soft tissues surrounding the joints.

Actually it’s the soft tissue around the joints.

OK - I was just concerned if it were joints that MAYBE the PMR has morphed to LORA.

Late onset RA - which can present identically to PMR with absolutely no distinguishing features.

My mother always said your skin got itchy as you got older, I haven’t a clue if that is true or not.

Mentally maybe - but physiologically and physically you have 78 years under your belt ...

It tends to dry out - and dry skin itches ...

I don’t know, it’s a constant itch. I at first thought it must be some of the many hairs falling out & going inside my clothes, but no not that.
