Diagnosed with PMR last fall. Put on 13mg/day of Pred. & told to taper off at 1mg/mo.
Got down to 2mg/day one month ago but instead of dropping straight to 1mg, after reading here about being careful when your dosage drops to this level, I went to 1mg one day, then 2mg next day, then 1mg next day w/ no adverse consequences.
Today I reduced it to 1mg a day and see what happens.
Fingers crossed. Let you know what happens.

My best to you! But quality of life above all...so don't hesitate to adjust your dose accordingly. For me feeling good beats being a zero champion. I've been on them, and Actemra for four years....so I'm about to break out the band...even if I wind up a taking one a day.💞
I also got down to 1mg about 2 months ago and mindful of the big drop from 1mg to zero., I had a box of 2.5mg tablets and used a pill cutter to quarter them using the dead slow method to reduce. I am now at .5mg, as far as I am concerned there is no rush having had flares before by rushing it. My next level will be .25mg before going to zero.
