I did this with an open mind, being my own guinea-pig, bearing in mind the other bits I’ve picked up: preempting the IL-6 dawn chorus and the less Pred in the body the better coming up to midnight.
I was thinking along the lines of some dose-times in some people create a kind of yo-yo every 24-hour cycle, from no Pred to masses of it, depending on how long it takes your body to get through a dose – is that necessarily useful if the time of lowest/no Pred comes way away from the witching hour.
Previous experiments: all of it at 2 am, but feeling distinctly less than wonderful 23 hours later when got up to get a snack to take it with, and also murdered sleep and the same with the dose split in 2 – I never got around to buying those empty EC capsules.
Therefore somewhere between half past midnight and 2 am, 5 mg; on surfacing say 10-ish 3 mg; around 4 or 5 pm 1 mg. It is actually working rather well, so well I have twice nearly forgotten to take the tabs.
Also, the 2 am dose has stopped screwing up my sleep, which seems to me to be broadly in line with the higher the dose of Pred and the closer it’s taken to bedtime the more likely it is to disturb sleep - presumably 5 mg as opposed to the earlier attempt at 7 mg at 2 am is low enough for my sleep to survive.
