Was anyone prescribed baby aspirin (81mg) when diagnosed with GCA?

Thank you.

I was already on smallest dose (75mg in UK) for other reasons before I was diagnosed with GCA in 2012 -at which time it was in the recommendations to include.

But it isn’t in the current guidelines.

Mine was part of cocktail for hypertension back in day -but that has changed now, so haven’t been on it (for any reason) for last 6 or 7 years.

I was but then they stopped it early on, or rather it fizzled. One doctor said something about its use not being considered as useful as much as it was.

It was included in the guidelines in 2010, When the most recent guidelines were drawn up the recommendation was removed since it had been concluded that the risk of bleeding outweighed any benefit there might be in vasculitis.

Yes right away to help protect from stroke.
