Had you been doing anything to encourage pain that might not be directly a flare? Have you got a cold or any signs of another infection?
I'd certainly give it another couple of days at 15mg and see how you get on. But I doubt you will get back down to 7mg easily, I think I would ring back and demand an emergency call because having to wait a week for advice/approval of your action is not on. And it isn't an ED problem.
Thanks Pro. I can't think of anything that has ccaused these flares. I walk the dog most days then I do stuff around the house. maybe I'm doing too much. Usually when I do stuff I don;t stop until I'm finished what I'm doing. Thinking on maybe I should take breaks, I just don't know. I don't do building work or anything like that I just sort of tinker about just keep myself busy. I will try again with the GP. When first explaining my problem with the receptionist she didn't know or even understand what PMR is!! Embarrassing really trying to explain in front of a queue of people. No good phoning cause they don't answer the phone so I went personally.
So the receptionist needs some training. Not good enough. Try telling her it is an autoimmune rheumatic disease that causes extreme pain and stiffness and disability when medication isn't correctly adjusted, Ordinary painkillers don't work.
In a flare situation you can stay on higher for up to 14 days without impacting on the drop back down -but as you flared again on 10mg you probably do need medical advice.
