Whent to doctor M to sort out my AF WHAT WE WERE DOING ABOUT IT. some how he avaided my question examining me saying why was I on high dose of beta blockers as my pulse was already very low. And reducing them by two thirds π€·π½ββοΈ.a few weeks later whent to see Doctor S
For something entirely different bowel problems then mentioned about doctor M reducing my BETA BLOCKERS SHE SAID O YOU NEED THEM TO KEEP YOUR PULSE LOW AS I AM SUPPOSED TO HAVE ATROL FIBULATION. A FEW WEEKS LATER I HAD TO GO BACK TO SEE DOCTOR M ABOUT THE WATER TABLETS HE WAS MONITORING WITH ME. Soo I told him that the other doctor says no you must keep up with BETA BLOCKERS.. SO AS SAID AT THE BEGINNING HE HIS REVIEWING THEM AT TWO THIRDS OF DOSE.

I have atrial fibrillation and I am on a beta blocker to keep my heart rate low - it is 60 when it is behaving. I feel fine on them but some people do find them difficult. But there are other drugs - normally here I would have been put on an ACE inhibitor but I had an allergic reaction so that was a real no-no.
I take a beta blocker because I have too many extra heartbeats and sometimes chest pain. The beta blocker definitely helped me. I no longer have chest pain and my heart has stopped pounding like it was before
My husband takes an ace inhibitor & a beta blocker. He has atrial fibrillation & an enlarged heart. He has no side effects. I have been trialling a beta blocker to solve my Essential Tremor in my hand & arm. It didnβt work, though. Personally, though, I donβt know anything about them, Ronzy! Perhaps look for a heart based forum?? Good luck!
as I have previously said I am not sure I have A FIB NOW no pounding heart no chest pains. Just out of breath no energy. Seam like a new man. Wheel see π€·π½ββοΈ at moment no BB
My Dad & my husband had no pounding heart, no chest pains!! My husband had no symptoms at all. His atrial fibrillation was discovered when he needed surgery, not connected to his heart, but at the pre op examination, they found AF! But Iβm very pleased to hear you seem like a new man, that your health is much better, & you donβt have AF!
I was originally put on 5mg bisoprolol. I found this made me feel lethargic. The GP agreed to lower my dose to 2.5mg and that's fine. My normal heart rate is 68 bpm.
