Sixty five today!

So....it's my birthday today and yes!... life isn't perfect, but I've much to be grateful for and I'll continue to try and embrace every precious day whilst managing my PMR. It's life's little wins that count and I'm here....standing, and I can honestly say.... I'm happy. 😊

Well, I think I'm living proof that even with an autoimmune disease (that at times can prove to be quite debilitating) it's still possible to enjoy yourself.I've had a lovely day out with my hubby, punctuated with rest periods for a lovely lunch and then a few more in some carefully selected tea rooms, so I've not had to do any more walking than I was capable of and the day has been perfect.

The celebration probably wasn't quite as 'active' as it might have been a few years ago, when we'd have probably gone for a days walking in the countryside, but I've learnt to adapt to my situation and simply take joy from what I can still do. There's always joy to be found if you look gor it.

I am quite tired tonight but in a good way...not a 'wiped out way'. So another birthday and another year older.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!

Well said Kendrew. A positive attitude helps me get through. One day hopefully we'll all be at the end of this but in the meantime we've got to learn to smell the roses, watch amazing skies, feed the birds and love the life we have as best we can. My only disappointment is not being able to walk like I did and enjoy nature in the wild. One day.......
