Adrenals - just wondering

Hello to all. Taking 3.5mgs prednisolone (down from 15, 6 years ago) now noticing that I can take them later and later each morning thereby lengthening time between doses with no ill effects. Body does not like 3mgs but could above indicate that PMR is calming down and it is the adrenals that still need some help? Am I being overly optimistic? 🤔 xx

What do mean by body does not like 3mg? If you mean fatigue, nausea, lightheaded ness etc rather than PMR pain it could be adrenals stuttering.

see this - if you haven’t already -

Light-headedness, fatigue but some stiffness in neck and shoulders and calves can ache!

Mainly adrenals then and maybe not helped by moving furniture 🤦🏻‍♀️

Certainly sounds hopeful! But as DL asks - what happens at 3mg?

Is that real or virtual furniture????

The response to DL suggests that adrenals might be in the picture too - and at some point you have to get through that!

I do in my mind/brain - the body disputes the matter though!

Have you had a test to see whether your Adrenals are capable of producing cortisol? ( apologies if you have told us). What stops a further half mg reduction?

Symptoms return - Light-headedness, fatigue, some stiffening of shoulders and calves ache. Not had test as GPs here appear to be hibernating. It is really trial and error and trying not to overstep the mark.

You are going to have to push for a referral to an endocrinologist . At least you would have a better idea of where your symptoms are coming from. X
