It's been used on here many times - I personally don't find it funny when I'm trying to explain to someone that pred is not evil and can be a life-saver though!

Not really funny, that little white tablet gave me my life back. I've grown quite fond of it.

spot on Bcol. now coping with adrenal insufficiency I truly miss the high doses that made me so energetic (I never had problems sleeping or mood swings). I even forgive pred my muscle myopathy ...I would not have survived without my little magic pills.

Me too. Prednisolone really helped me and still does. I just saw this odd name on Reddit. My other half and I roared laughing and now Liz and I refer to them as Tic Tacs. I also take a Sweetie Pie pill for asthma. Montelukast.

I have spent and still spend a fair amount of my time around/with children and the last thing I'd ever want is for them to hear me calling my tablets "sweeties". It could lead to a very dangerous misunderstanding.
