This video is new to me, it may not be to others.
I think it's helpful.
I think that it is helpful too. Thank you 💐
Very very helpful particularly the part about asking for help. Keep ad well as you can be .regards cantfindaname
Thank you for posting. I haven’t seen it before but even after living with PMR for 6 years I still took away some nuggets of positive helpful information
My main take from it was about flares being normal and not feeling that you were responsible for them. I think I found it helpful as my rheumy is French so the nuances have been missing and in the French culture I have experience there is a lack of explaining.
I think flares are considered more ‘normal’ by rheumatologists in many other a/i conditions [and that came across in podcast] which are life long like RA etc and the patient is usually on a more settled dose of medication.
This is different to PMR and GCA which are self-limiting, and the patients is trying to taper off the steroid…. and very often being pushed to try and do that too quickly by their physician.
Do agree than some of her strategies in dealing with flares may help though.
Yes I found that too- easy to find fault in ourselves for flares sometimes. Guess we don’t live in a perfect bubble😊. Also liked about the deep breathing and stimulating the vagus nerve.
Very useful video. I learned something new by watching it. Many thanks for putting that up.
'Deep belly breaths activate the vagus nerve'. Even more fun: play a wind instrument!
