Advice please

My 20 yr old Grandson, has been diagnosed with Glandular Fever,

His parents are working away from home, so I have volunteered to stay with Grandson,

I have been tapering down I am now on 1.5mg, I have also had GF.

I was 15 yrs at the time, now75,I am sure once you have had GF,it’s very unlikely to get it again,

Can anyone tell me if that’s the case,

Many Thanks.

It is very unlikely you would get it if you have already had it once.

It is contagious not airborne transmission so if you never share cutlery and utensils and don't get up close and personal (hardly likely for grandma with a 20 year old grandson if my two are anything to go by) you won't get it.

I am trying to be sensible and not jealous of your new responsibility. I hope he’s not too ill. I don’t think we are in the demographic for glandular fever and you’ve had it.
