Is this the same man?

Dr. Berg completed his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1988 at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and is a board-certified chiropractor in three states. In his earlier years, Dr. Berg completed 2 years of undergraduate pre-med studies at University of Wisconsin Parkside and trained as an X-Ray technician in the Army Reserves.

Am I being a but thick here? So he says people stop responding to Pred because they have become resistant. His vitamin regime (co factors for cortisol) are meant to cause more natural cortisol production, but if the person is already resistant how is that to work. Or is he saying it’s the artificial Pred the resistance is to.

My second issue is that if these cofactors stimulate the production of Cortisol, you are going to need a bucket load to counter runaway inflammation. If one achieves the effective level of cortisol needed over a long period, wouldn’t one just become Cushingoid anyway?

Now I know.................

I probably can't say what I think on here, or I'd be banned....🤭

I had the same junk at my fingertips as jinasc has already posted - not what you'd call a MEDICAL degree that, He has a business selling supplements - and that usually says it all.

Anyway - I then watched the video. Best laugh I've had all day! What a load of mdooly ...

Try it for poison ivy if you want - but REALLY don't try it for PMR and especially not GCA. There is no logic - as Snazzy says - and it is absolutely not suitable for long term trial. I bet he sells a tablet or 3 that you can buy from him

Great sell but not for PMR. It is steroids that are needed and MSM is not a substitute.

While I was looking up another dodgy video link I found this:

sigmanutrition.com/episode401/

naming both the other author and Berg. Not just me thinks he is worth body-swerving ;)

i hear you…but enquiring minds want to know. thanks .

i am down to 6 mg and feeling ok. as people say…reduction means other issues raise their heads…stiff arms, knees….arthritic…i am sure. but i am mindful.

hoping to get back to Italy in the spring. air tickets booked. how are you finding food costs? i won’t even ask about fuel

I drive a diesel car - diesel used to be far cheaper than petrol, no longer. The government has had a 30 cents a litre subsidy since the inflation got silly but that is about to be reduced by a half on Dec 1st - everyone will be filling up before then! I filled up on Wednesday - should have waited a bit longer as the price went down a few cents at the weekend! Currently it is far cheaper than the UK and will probably still be cheaper even with the loss of all the subsidy. However, in the meantime, fuel here was cheaper than in Austria. Shame as I used to have a trip to Austria to buy things I couldn't get here and fill up - which paid for the trip. I have an annual travel card for all the trains and buses in the region - and we have a superb public transport system. From 65 to 70 it costs 150 euros, from 70 it is 75 euros. There is a train from the village to the hospital, it has its own station, and the best gelateria is next to the hospital - I often catch the train, have an icecream and come back on the next train. I sometimes catch the train or a bus up the valley, go for a walk or have a drink somewhere else and come home again. Costs me no more. No traffic jams on the tourist seasons either :)

Food doesn't feel too bad really - but I don't eat a lot and I am reasonably well off I suppose. Fruit and veg has gone up but is also often on special offer. The vast majority is produced within Italy - the transport costs aren't quite as awful. big emphasis on seasonality.

Where are you flying to?

thanks for input. i suspect the travel card is only for residents…but if not what a bonus . i shall look into it

because of our proximity to France we fly into Nice frequently. that said last time it was Paris and we drove down and the time before that Marseille. it often depends on flight costs and connections.

seasonal grocery purchases are derigeur for most Italians especially if they are in rural settings. not to mention what they have managed to grow, preserve or store from the orto.

we benefit from local friends but most purchases now are from the supermercato.

The travel card is regional - so for South Tirol. But our tourists also get limited duration ones if staying in a participating residence.

i shall investigate. we have our own house in Liguria . have had for 30+ years. but do not stay longer than the 3 month alotted period. maybe being a homeowner, paying taxes will qualify me for such a pass should one exist. i somehow think your area will be more refined and organized what with being almost Austrian 😉

We as residents have to buy one - but tourists pay a daily tax that covers the cost.
