Happy Thanksgiving 🧡
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
oh dear I forgot to send wishes to my daughter in law. She lives in uk now so misses her family on these occasions.
Good wishes and good health to everyone on the site who lives in USA. 🤗🤗🤗
As a resident of the states~~thanks for your good wishes. The American Indian taught those who settled America what they needed to know to farm and hunt. So, we gave thanks and the first Thanksgiving was to thank the Indians and we ate together. Then we took all their land; that always bothered me. 🦃💞
Ironic really and interesting (I thought they were thankful of surviving the journey and finding somewhere safe to live ) - and not unusual of the times in lots of countries in the “new” world.
Unfortunately, the taking of land is still happening in some places , but we won’t get into a political discussion on that -not the place.
Was about to say the same. And now they are starting to realise that the indigenous peoples all over the world had very important knowledge ...
Many lived sustainably off the land for thousands of years and understood Mother Nature ..as did we Europeans (in our own countries years ago)…but greed and a change of environment seem to have missed more recent generations by….to the detriment of the majority…
Sorry, bit heavy for a Saturday morning….
