I was very interested to read the recent postings on this subject as I was quite unaware of the need and why to have a 2 hour interval. I have been on this combination for 4 years yet no doctor has ever mentioned this to me. I further checked with my local pharmacy and they to were also ignorant of this requirement. To me it is quite frightening as to the ignorance of those who should know on these matters regarding the various strong medications that many of our taking. I also wonder if Adcal if taken at the same time can have the same effect on other medications. This seems to confirm what many have suggested before in this forum that we the patient often know more about our condition than those in the medical profession to whom we go to for help, including 'so called' specialists.

I no longer take calcium for various reasons but my bones are fine & l have my calcium levels checked annually.
I take my medication in order as per information on the leaflets enclosed. I take Lansoprazole at 6.00am and then Lercanidipine ( blood pressure med) around 6.30am before I get up at around 7.00am. I then have breakfast between 7.00and 7.30am and take prednisolone when I have just eaten. I then shower etc and make another drink and take Adcal. My second dose of Adcal I take at bedtime with a drink, I try to stick to this routine and find I have been OK. I have gone back onto prednisolone after managing to reduce and stop taking it about a month ago but was in so much pain in my legs that I was rereferred to rheumatology. Hope all this is helpful.
So glad you posted this. I had no idea and have been taking both at the same time. Something else to organise!
