When your symptoms are persisting and getting worse. Then when your symptoms seem under control again and are receding.

Yes it did thank you the highest dose I've been on is 15mg by the gp do you think I could increase this myself if it is no longer working at that of course I have to take my diabetes into consideration

Think you probably need to run it past GP unless they have indicated you can juggle your dose -some are happy to let patients , others not!

Does surgery have eConsult or email facility -you could contact and say what you intend to do…and diabetes should be okay if you don’t increase for too long or too high -but I hear your concerns.

Depends how you are going about it. If it is a flare from overshooting the dose when tapering and you have added 5mg for a week to 10 days you can drop straight back to the dose you were last good at once the symptoms are gone.

If it is a flare in disease activity - once the symptoms are under control you can go back to tapering.
