Covid and Prednisolone

Hi I am recovering from Covid It got.me for my birthday!! One day up one day down but improving so that's good.I increased my pred by 5mg to 10mg.Dr said to increase for a week.He wanted me to increase to 25mg but I thought I would see how I went.Will it be OK to drop straight back to 5mg when I am better?I have had all the unpleasant reducing issues.I got to 4mg but got very bad headaches and other things so it was 4.5 -5mg

Yes it is.Im going to see if I can print it off.Just puddling along at home.Trying to get an appetite for something.

Yes - after only a week it is fine to drop straight back to your old dose.

Thanks.Thats what I thought.! Fortunately my body is dealing with it so far but I'm not going to push it.No fun being isolated.

Reading this with special interest. I’m covid poorly this week. I have increased my pred to 10mg from 5 mg hopefully just for a week. I’m being monitored by the covid team because of my PMR and methotrexate but I’m doing ok. This leaflet is brilliant. I love infographics😂😜 get well soon Raewynne
