Advice please

I’ve had PMR for 2 years now and am staying at 5mg pref as this seems to be right for me. However I have a very bad right shoulder and limited mobility in my right arm. This has been diagnosed as a possible rotator cuff injury. However I’m No wondering whether it could be caused by my PMR.

It may be associated with the PMR - but most symptoms with PMR affect both sides although not necessarily equally and often one side starts first and is worse than the other. It is very common for PMR in its early stages to be misdiagnosed as rotator cuff injury. How have they come to this decision - obviously they aren't entirely sure????

I had a very painful right shoulder. The rheumatologist said it was frozen shoulder, I am pretty certain he was wrong. He gave me a steroid shot which did not work. I tried to rest it and it slowly got better.
