ITCHING THAT IS BELOW THE SKIN!

I finally got frustrated by this insistent itch behind and just below my left knee and looked it up. At first I thought it must be a DVT and had myself prepared to go to ER but it wasn't red or hot or puffy, so in desperation I Googled "itching under the skin". Voila! I never even had a hint of this! It is a miss-firing of nerves! Fits right in with neuralgia, which I also have. Well, that's way better than DVT! I was never happier to find out what was ailing me!

I get that when I use a muscle I haven't used in a long time; acetaminophen worrjs to relieve that.

Thanks, Karenjaninaz! That explains why it happens mostly at night when I don't usually take Tylenol (acetaminophen)!

Sitting here suddenly feeling itchy all over! I used to get a sensation of itchiness in a place but not being able to relieve it. Eventually (I was a child, as I grew older this happened less and less) I discovered that there really was an itch but it was somewhere else. I might think I needed to scratch a place on my leg, for example, but it wouldn't be relieved until I scratched some other place, where I wasn't really aware of an itch.
