I have been off steroids for about three months now and so far just the occasional headache, my question is do I really need to have the 4 dose of the covid booster. Thanks for any advice given.

I think the key thing is the dose you were on when you had your last vaccine ie over 10 mgs. Have a look at the comprehensive information on FAQs.

Hello, in reply I was on 3mg a day when having my first dose, also I have got a letter inviting me to have the vac.

Have you been offered the 4th dose? Personally I think we all need a fourth dose as everyone in my family who had a Pfizer vaccine has had Covid, some quite badly, in spite of the booster dose. Interestingly enough the ones who had Astra Zeneca have not had Covid that they know of!!

I have had Pfizer for all of my vaccines and hopefully will have it for my fourth, touch wood been fine.

I have just discovered that Prince Charles had Astra Zeneca and he has just caught Covid for the second time, so my theory about Pfizer and Astra Zeneca is rubbish!

I had a theory that if you had had Pfizer you got Covid but if you had Astra Zeneca your chances were much lower. That has now been disproved by Charles. In my family all who had Pfizer got Covid and none of the Astra Zenecas. My two year old great niece did get Covid though and she had not had a vaccine of course.

I must carry on with my research. An awful lot of people around my area seem to have caught it apart from my anti vaxxer friend. Found another couple of Astra Zenecas yesterday who had not had it. Of course the AZ people could have had but did not know.

Well as DorsetLady said Prince Charles has been mixing more than us, and maybe so did some of your family, I think it’s a game of chance if we venture out of our routine.As my son is a deputy head who mixes with children, my daughter in law who is in ICU in the lung dept have kept there distance with us, which is sad but we are trying to be careful that’s all ant of us can do.
