Basophil Count

Hi following a blood test that my doctor passed as no further action I noticed that my Basophil result was classed as above range at 0.14x10 9/L(0.02-0.1) any ideas please?

Pred does change the proportions of white blood cells - and the basophils are possibly high because of the inflammation. It is above range - but not much.

The GP normally ignores mine at that level. What feedback have you had from your doctor?

None,the test was done as my inflammation markers were at 74

High - so I'd expect basophils to be a bit up too

Is 70 the normal level ? I got down from 92 when I was first diagnosed and have been down to 72 previously

I assumed you meant ESR? My bad - shouldn't just accept a number out of context. The resuls will quote the lab's normal range
