I sometimes use it as a diagnostic tool to determine if a niggle is from tension or something else my imagination is cooking up. However, from experience of seeing others, I would be wary of using alcohol to give you a particular relieving effect on a regular basis because dependency can follow, just like with any addictive substance like opiates. Others would argue one tot a day is fine, which is ok if it doesn’t have to creep up to get the same effect. Some would say that’s a small price to pay, it’s just as long as it’s a decision that doesn’t come from a place of desperation that invites another problem.
A small port will suffice. I use port when I cook chicken livers with onions. I even add some to the chicken livers!

Probably not the best thing to start when you are having mental health concerns.....it can be a slippery slope.
