I have been taking methotrexate since August 30th. Recently I developed a cough, is a cough a side effect of methotrexate? I am currently at 4 tablets 10 mg and no longer on prednisone. I have been feeling pretty good but now this cough??
I am also considering the 3rd dose of the Covid vaccine, what is the thought?

Hello, not much to go on there. Is it a wet cough or dry cough? Is it in bouts or constant? How long have you had it? When does it occur? Any sputum? Any other symptoms? It can mean many many things, so ideally you need to speak to a doc.
Hi - you need to ring your Rheumy Team today - any kind of persistent cough (not related to a cold or chest infection) must be reported as MTX can affect the lungs. You should have had an X-ray before starting it & they will probably request one now to compare.
Are you taking any blood pressure medication‘s that are ace inhibitors? A side effect of those is the” ace cough”. That would require a change in medication.
