PMR seems worsened by humidity

I’m on 2.5 mg of Prednisolone and have been finding that humidity exacerbates my PMR.

I’ve had a flare for the last two weeks, but I’ve been fighting off a cold virus.

Not sure if I should increase my Pred?

You maybe would according to Sick Day rules if it is a bad cold - but you should speak to a doctor just in case. Your adrenal glands may be struggling with the fight with the virus.

Have to ask - you are sure it is just a cold? Delta likes to masquerade as "just a cold".

PS, humidity does for me too! Doesn't matter if it is warm or cold - just don't do wet and/or windy ...

I agree with PMRpro - are you sure it’s ‘just’ a cold? Two weeks is quite a long time to have one….I think we’re all going to struggle a bit this winter to differentiate between colds, flu and Covid….

I also feel much worse with humidity, i feel im dragging myself around. Used to love the hot humid days, now i cant wait for the bright fresh cold ones ! Bet we are not the only ones !
