GCA??

I just experienced a very short, VERY sharp pain on the side of my head. I hope this is nothing?

It’s a bit like the saying “One swallow doesn’t make it summer”. Just keep an eye and also ask yourself if GCA wasn’t in your life what would you think?

I do sometimes too. I expect that GCA would be persistent. Be alert though, jaw, eyes, ears etc.

I did get a sharp pain in the side of my head. It was sporadic and rare and 1-2 years before GCA. It was at my temple and only lasted a moment. I don’t know if it was related to GCA.

I get that sometimes. I'm always on the lookout for other symptoms though. I fear getting gca as ive only got sight in one eye as it is.

My GCA pain in my head was more like a vice around it being crushed. Very intense pain. But I did also get shooting pain that stopped me in my tracks mid sentence. I'd make a note of it and see if things change/progress.

Mine started as one jab on the side of the head…then 4 weeks later another, then 2 weeks later, then daily. The vice like pain took months to appear.
