Apparently this below due to fractured vertebrae and Iv used sick day rules so on 20 mg from yesterday. How many days please. Relieved it’s not worse. Pain standing and walking is tough do keeping to minimum.

Just spoke to him again said ok stay on 20 mg for 3 days and drop back to old dose and see how you feel! Oh well

No - he can't pass the buck to you!!!! You aren't trained to assess that sort of risk!

With a fractured vertebra the pain will last much longer than it is reasonable to take 20mg pred every day. Is that your GP? Do you have a rheumatologist and rheumatology nurse helpline?

SJ and PMRpro are right. You need to follow up with your doctor/rheumatologist. It's unprofessional to be told to 'do what you think is best' and so unfair to leave you in limbo. Lots of rest, Uglow.
