For the first time in 3 years I have managed to get to decrease to 6.5mg pred after many false starts. I used DLs slow taper and this time it seems to have worked . Fingers crossed.
Successful taper?: For the first time in 3 years I... - PMRGCAuk
Successful taper?
Well done. I managed to recently get down to 6.5mg too, sadly PMR/ GCA symptoms returned so had to increase again. I wish you all the luck in your tapering regime. I used the DLs method....so far for me since diagnosis it's been twenty months.
So pleased for you, it means so much to us doesn't it?
Double fingers crossed 😊
Good for you , this is where i am atm ! but due to Chest infection and other factors ,im staying at this level for now !. Well done.
Fingers crossed indeed! I’m also trying DL’s slow taper trying to reduce from 20. Tried unsuccessfully before - to 17.5 and 15 - but am encouraged by you and others that it might work this time. Complicated by the fact that I’m just getting properly walking again after ankle surgery and some muscles are getting a shock and unsurprisingly stiff. I get a 2 hour window from about 6am before neck and shoulders seize up. Does anyone else find that?
