Swelling ankles

Hi all, I been on 12mg for nearly week now also co-cordimol 4 times a day, which have got to say I feel ok, not pain free, I have notice my ankles are swelling which not notice before, when get up in mornings they back to normal. Could this be the weather or is it cause tapering

The pred seemed to cause my ankles and feet to swell. It started soon after I started pred in my left ankle.

Swollen feet and ankles has been an intermittent problem for me since I started pred in July 2017, occurring every few months. I never suffered it before taking pred. I'm currently going through a spell of it after a long time without any swelling. This does make me wonder if the hot weather also plays a part.

Sadly mine is all the time, getting worse during the day.

MINE IS WITH ME ALL THE TIME, BUT WORSE WHEN IT IS HOT!!

I found these were good when I had swollen ankles earlier this year. This was just before the onset of PMR. I am now on a diuretic every other day which has fixed the problem. amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08...

My GP said I should not take a diuretic if I am taking steroids.

Depends on the diuretic - or you need to have electrolytes checked regularly.

The problem is with furosemide (Lasix) according to my pharmacist...caused weakness and muscle pain/cramps, mainly in my legs. My electrolytes were normal.
