Hi to all my friends. I need some more help please. My GP has put my Prednisolone up to 12.5, as I was feeling so tired and breathless. After a few days I felt SO much better, that lasted three days, then I had an emotional upset and off I go again to feeling unwell, breathless and anxious. Any suggestions?
All the best
Liz

Are there practical solutions to the source of your stress at the moment? It really does interfere with well- being. We can’t just keep upping the dose. We need to be tranquil as I remind my family, who are pretty receptive to be fair to them.
Thank you. You are absolutely right and I must and will try to keep things in perspective and not try to solve all problems. I am lucky to have a very supportive husband, who does his best to help.
It is such a relief when you ultimately let go, especially with adult children. You’ve put the work in now you have to sit back and let them get on with it. I have been watching a daddy bullfinch do just that with his 3 fledglings. If it is another issue (s) then consider having a counsellor to talk things over with. It may solve a lot for you.
As Jane says we can’t keep putting the Pred up when we have some kind of emotional upset though sometimes it is essential such as a bereavement. You need to step back (which is hard) & look at it clinically, as Jane says is there anything practically that can be done to solve this issue?
I had the same problem when l was still working, l had a reactive job in a pressurised environment, in so far you never knew who was coming through the door or how they would be & l found myself popping an extra 5mg after lunch to get me through the afternoon until l eventually realised what was happening!....
I now have a very different outlook on life, l’ve removed all stress, if l can’t fix it l don’t worry about it, if it doesn’t affect me l don’t worry about it.
I used to Entertain on a Grand Scale but sadly no longer, l get far too stressed & the body just can’t cope. I’m a bit Mrs Bouquet (Bucket) l hope your British so you understand 😉 MrsB; PMR & Pred do not go hand in hand unfortunately.
Try & clear your Stressors & hopefully you’ll be able to manage better.
My American Friend Donna loves her too, have you ever seen the one on the QE2? We played it for Our Cruise Friends, they’d never seen it before but they Loved It!
That was a good one. I’ve watched many episodes twice over the years. Just depends on our PBS schedule. Entertaining and worthwhile TV is hard to find. 🤗
Good, glad you can ‘see’ that - this disease seems to ‘like’ Fixers, Doers etc!You really need to step back & look at ‘You’ as if you were advising a freeing with these issues.
My Husband points this out to me all the time, it’s very difficult not to try to fix or always have the answer.
It’s our time now to get well & go forward after the Pandemic/Lockdown, my ‘worry’ at the moment is my Son in France who has not yet had his Vaccination(s) & his procrastination especially as they have a Vaccine Centre at his place of work.....
If Mr Macron ever decides to let the Brits back into France and J&M haven’t had their Vaccines we won’t go & likewise they can’t stay with us if they come to visit.....
It’s really bothering me but l can’t do anything about it, he’s a grown man 👨🏻
Hi, I think we all have times of stress, especially when you have a change in routine, I’ve recently had all my family here, 4 adults, 2 grandchildren, and a large hairy dog, nothing wrong in that but just a change in routine, I’ve also had my cousins visit, all wonderful, but anything from the normal can upset the apple cart, it just takes a few days for your body to calm down, upping your pred will only upset your body, just ride through it, spend a few more hours resting and sleeping.
