I had my private consultation yesterday, it went well. He said I had osteoarthritis in my left hip which at the moment is not ready for ‘the knife’ but would benefit from a steroid intra joint injection. On the the assumption that I would eventually need a new hip and given that the waiting lists are so long , he has put me on the nhs list now and arranged for the injection in the nhs too. Very pleased🙂

Waiting list. That’s a joke here. I will be long gone therefore I have to pay. I refused injections they only mask it for any given length of time I also think I had enough of steroids and the complications I had from them. Wish me luck I see orthopaedic surgeon today. Age is not on my side
