I'm back. After all these muscle spasms I'm having in my back I have more or less ceased up this morning in my arms and hips after coming down from 9mgs to 8 mgs 2 days ago. What do you suggest I. Go back to for a short period to get rid of some of the pain. Just not sure if it should be a high dose or just back to 9 mgs. Thanks.

For a start go back to 9mg and then try one of the slowed tapers for the next attempt. The advice is not to reduce more than 10% of the current dose at one time - below 10mg, even 1mg is more than that. Challenging your body with the new dose just one day at a time can often help that - and if you react that much, 1/2mg and a slowed taper is even better.
Go back 1mg and wait until symptoms have completely settled. Then try 1/2mg your next drop. I can’t do a 1mg drop at those doses - symptoms come raging back as you describe. The lower dose makes such a difference. I still have the usual withdrawals, I take paracetamol to deaden the pain and it’s usually settled within 5 days. Good luck.
