Hi everyone I’m fed up feeling odd! I took my pred at 8 o’clock this morning, I’m going to at 10 tonight so I can move over to that time. Hoping I’ll Sleep the worse off. Then take at every night at 10 thereafter. Can anyone see problems with that. I know it can cause sleep probs but I think I’ll be ok on that front. Advice gladly received. Thanks

The only way to find out is to try. The only question I have is whether the effect lasts the full 24 hours for you - i.e. until the next dose is due?

Yes but I will be having 2 does in 24 hours hope that is not a problem . Then after the first 10 o’clock not until 10 next night.

You might have a wakeful first night - but that's what I mean, you have to try to find out. Everyone is different

Just be sure you put something in your stomach, like yogurt, when you take your dose. Pred and empty stomachs often don't go together. I haven't had a problem getting to sleep taking my dose between 10 and 11 pm. But even before PMR and pred, I could only sleep 4-6 hours a night. I can't say how others would fare if they're used to longer sleeps.
