Changing dose time

At this time I"m taking7.5 mgs of pred tapering from 8 mgs to 5 mgs. at 5 am. No headache but my head feels like it will explode until mid-afternoon when it calms a bit.Would it help to back up dose time to 2 am to let the pred do it's thing and if so how do I do it? Could this get me through the pressure episode so I can move around without the wooziness?Thank you for all the help this forum gives me,I surely don't get it from my rhumie who poo-poos anything I tell him.Bless you all as we sojourn togrther

You could always try. 2am is a good time to take pred if you are awake then!

Good morning Ancientprune Iove these avatar names!!! ) I take mine around 02:00 everyday and have done for many months with no problems re tapering. Start taper down from 8mg in a couple of days.

My 2 young grandsons gave me that name 15 yrs ago to try and shake me up but I thought it was such fun I kept it as my "brand name"".Didn't know it was an Avatar name.Maybe I should warch the movie. Thank you for the advice,I'll start tomorrow

I own the name every time I lo0k in the mirror.The flare in Feb caused me to lose weight so my skin is a great ad for those creapy skin comercials

The only way is to try. As for how - just do it. Bringing your dose forwards a few hours is no big deal - delaying it is harder but can be dealt with easily enough.

I take mine at 2-3am & it’s better than when I take it at 5-6am, & much better than when I started & took it around 8am! Good luck, S x

I’ve always taken my pred at bedtime and that works for me.

Does the dosage make a difference when switching from one time to another an can I just go from 4 am to bedtime all at once? It would make life a bit easier as I set the alarm to wake up and take the beloved {not} pred

I would take a partial dose (half) at 4:00 am, and the other half at bedtime the first day, and then full dose at bedtime on the second day. Hope it works for you!

Don't go forward - just take the next morning dose the night before.
