Brain fog....not sure how much pred I took!

More proof that it’s not smart to do anything else when taking pred.!

I was talking to my son while taking my 12 mg , two 5 mg and two 1 mg. With the usual yogurt. When I looked at the counter I didn’t see any pred there and didn’t really remember taking 4 pills. Not sure if I took the 1mg pills out of the container. Pretty sure I took two pills. I think they were the 5 mg ones.

I took two 1mg hoping for the best!

If I did take two extra 2 mg. , 14 instead of 12, OK to just go back to 12 tomorrow?, and this time focus on one thing at a time!

2mg is hardly anything in the great scheme of things - people have taken double doses and gone back to normal the next morning! That at least usually ensures a really good day - it would be a lot worse if you hadn't taken any!

I’d done that myself a couple of times with no harm done. However I now dispense my pills into a day/week pill container. That way I know I’ve a) actually taken them and b)the right quantity even if I do get distracted. x

Easily done - you are not alone & as Pro says a bit extra rather than too little won’t harm for a day.

It’s forgetting them all together that causes the problems, l make my box up on a Sunday, when it’s quiet so l’m not distracted especially if l’m tailoring the dose down, it’s so much easier to check then that l’ve taken them (or not!)

Yesterday I went to fill my pill box and realised my 5mg pack was opened and on top of my 1mg box. I checked and for the doses next week I had used 5s instead of 1s . I am on 4.25 mg so this would have been a lot more. Fortunately I discovered it before it was a problem

Have you got any 2.5mg Tablets as that would be helpful now you are below 5mg.....

Too true, but it is the effect on my blood sugars that worries me more than a few bounces! I am sure I would have been very hyper as on 15mg I couldn’t stop talking!

You should have met me when l was on Dexamethasone plus Pred - l even exhausted myself 😂 l was completely OTT & non stop day & night.......

Hi I done this a few days ago, I’m cutting down to 4mg pred, the other day I took 20mg (4 tabs of 5mg), I didn’t feel any different, it wasn’t until the next I realised what I’d done 😟

Really must look what I’m doing in mornings 😀

Mornings can be rough. I think I only had a bit of coffee instead of my usual 2 cups. ☕️☕️

Well at least you appear to have taken a bit extra, and hopefully have a good day unlike me a couple of weeks ago when I must have taken half a 1 mg tablet and one whole 1 mg, instead of one 5 mg and half 1 mg, or some such stupidity. I did suffer and it put paid to my attempted taper .
