Sounds like a very expensive way of getting vitamins etc that you can get in a good varied diet. Supplements generally generate a good income for the manufacturers ...

I tend to agreeWill most likely take additional supplements, eat some tart cherries and add green tea and coco to my diet.

Thanks

I think I would just take tart cherry juice which is probably a lot more pleasant. At least I love it and you can add some ingredients into your diet as PMRPro suggests such as quercetin which is found in fruit and veg. In fact Dr Rosenberg seems to be very into flavenoids! What are you hoping it will do for you?

It is a bit pointless to take supplements to strengthen our immune system when we are taking Pred to suppress it because it is attacking itself. I take Berroca though ( vit C, vit B Magnesium etc in a sugar free fizzy drink, because I like it though and imagine that it gives me a lift). My drawers are full of miracle supplements that I waste.

Thanks for that feedback - those are good supplements to take and your point is well taken.

Ha! I'm so with you on that one. Took me years to realise I was wasting my money. I just have my regular ones now, mainly for bone health, and don't bother even reading about others.

I know for a fact that usually the body better absorbs and metabolises nutrients directly from natural food sources rather than expensive supplements. I remember PMRPro saying that we should still eat healthily and eat for our immune system because we're trying to 'reset' it....which makes much more sense to me.

I appreciate all the answers to my question. Bottom line is eat healthy and stick with affordable supplements which is what my gut feeling was all along. Thanks
