Does anyone have any recommendations? There seem to be a number for insulin transportation? I’m fantasising about future travel!!!

This has come up before. Something about cabin crew not handling any of the drug paraphernalia.I think individual airlines ( if there are any left) have their own policies about transporting drugs & syringes and storing them in the aircraft fridges. Let us know what you find out.

I believe Genentech have a bag of their own design.

Hi I was advised that unless going away for more than 2 weeks to adjust injection days so I injected before I went away and then on return. I’ve not tried this as initially too ill to consider travelling and then too risky with covid pandemic

When I went to collect my first doses of TCZ from the hospital Pharmacy, the nurse just advised me to bring a small insulated bag like for a packed lunch. I put a 'blue brick' inside to keep it cool. The advice sheet with the drug says it should be used within 8 hours of being removed from the fridge, so you can plan your travel accordingly!

Carry on dreaming!

Sounds good but I am in UK and imagined it would not work. Have now ordered a FRIO which seems to get the best reviews....will keep you posted!

Good to know and yes, keep us posted. Although don't plan to do any travelling until pandemic says adieu, it is good to have the info. Good Luck.

:-) We hear you and our tourist agencies need your business, but is just not safe enough and most CDNs are happy to have borders closed because initially, WA State was experiencing high # of cases of COVID. It is always lovely seeing the large cruise ships in our Port of Victoria. Good luck on completing that lovely voyage.

Amazon sells different containers for transporting meds. The Medadiv iCool carrying case will keep drugs cool for 36 hours and it is TSA approved. A little pricey but if you are taking a long trip it is worth it.

FYI........my travel bag did arrive last week; won't be travelling, but like to keep it on hand! Thanks again for your suggestion

They were out of stock of the container, so may have to ring them again . Very complete travel bag even with an ice pack. Best you phone before they run out of all!
