greetings from Tiny Tim

At 80 and with several underlying health issues on top of PMR I have cancelled my two days with the family although we are in the same tier(4) and I can be described as vulnerable as I am on my own ..Nevertheless as I have been excessively careful, over the past horrible months and with the vaccine round the corner it would be stupid to put myself in any potential risk at the last moment. I just wish others would heed the dire warnings and consequences of joining hoards in Shops and rushing to travel around the Country..yes I will feel sad and a bit lonely on Friday , but like others will count my blessings and share a virtual glass of wine and send some cake and homemade mince pies round to two neighbours who have no family and will be totally alone . As Walt Whitman said “ look to the sun and the shadows will fall behind “ greetings to one and all at this strange time .

A gentleman after my own heart. 🙂 Yes.... it's more important than ever to do what's right for you, and particularly to stay safe at the moment. I obviously don't know exactly where you are, but you can't be too far away from me, as I'm in tier 4 also! Its 'pants' isn't it? But you're doing a lovely thing for your neighbours and your kindness will be so appreciated, and just think how special that moment will be when you do finally get to meet up safely with your family again. Wishing you a peaceful, calm and stress free Christmas and a happy and healthy 2021.

I'm glad you're staying safe. I do hope you have a lovely peaceful day interspersed with a lovely chat with the neighbours.

We are looking forward to a bigger family get together nearer Easter. My MIL and I should have been vaccinated by then which will help.

Take care.

What a lovely post Tiny_Tim, I think a number of us, inadvertently, are going to have the most truly, meaningful Christmas that we have ever had. I hope yours has a sweetness about it that is as lovely as it is unexpected. X

Greeting to You too Tim.....

Yes, it’s going to be very hard on a lot of people but we have to hang on to the fact that we are all still here & remain unscathed physically from the Virus 🙏🏼

It is very kind of you to think about your neighbours & we shall all raise a glass 🥃 🥧 & a sneaky mince pie in Celebration we’ve made it this far 🙏🏼

Best Wishes for Christmas & a Happy & Safe New Year!

Season's greeting Tim, I suspect there are a number who will find it hard but who will come to the same decision as you. I'm also sure your neighbours will be equally delighted. I hope you have as lovely a day as possible and that the new year is very much improved.

Totally agree you are doing the correct thing

I am in tier 1 and have had to think about having my Mum (she is part of a bubble with

me ) over Xmas.

She is 92 and we know this is most likely to be her last as she has Heart Frailer .

Its a hard decision for us all to make .

Sooner Vaccine done better for all of us .

Happy Xmas
