Now been in Oz for ten days so far no problems, just keeping to my same doses of pred leflumonide apixaban etc. The warm sunshine helps, hear it's still cold and wet in UK. Due to reduce to 1/mgpred on 1 April will see how I go. Nearly 6 years now so will be glad to see the back of pred!

Hi,

Enjoy your time away and the sun shine, , but I’d be inclined to hold off the tapering for a while, there really is no rush at such low doses…

Have a perfect time. The heat really helps. We are coming out for Christmas this year to join our family. 🤞

we are going in October with son and daughter in law and their young son to see our daughter and son in law. Can’t wait!

We flew from UK to Perth nonstop and then on to Adelaide much better than stopping in Singapore or Dubai. Also premium economy was well worth the extra cost.

The extra for long haul is well worth it - after all it’s part of the holiday. We always flew business class when we were able to go. Enjoy!

I agree with DL I wouldn’t taper while away. Enjoy the lovely weather.

I can’t see from your profile to see what your dose you’re on currently. When tapering we should try to stick to 10% or less. My journey is 1.5 to 1.25mg using a slow taper (DL’s).

Currently on alternating 2 and 1 mg which my rheumy advocates. It has worked for other reductions but have also used slowtapering methodsHe said to drop to 1mg in April but think I will wait till we get home

Just had to send greetings to you as I have been in AUSTRALIA 5 days now and as usual feel much better for exposure to the sun. I hope you enjoy your stay. BW

Welcome to Australia Mary. You should have stayed in Perth where the weather is absolutely perfect at this time. Enjoy Adelaide and make sure you get to the Barossa 🍷

Have travelled around Perth area in the past but our daughter lives in Adelaide. Going to the Barossa in a couple of weeks. There is a big airshow on which my husband will enjoy as he used to work for BA and trained as an aeronautical engineer. We are enjoying Aussie sunshine after the miserable weather we had in UK recently
