Feeling low having to put prednisolone back up

You aren't alone - it has happened to most of us at some point. It would be REALLY helpful if you could tell us a bit more about yourself?
I have had to go back to 6 mg but feel well again and gp says stick to it TIL clocks go forward #relieved
Hi, I am new to this site too, diagnosed in June PMR, after years of telling my GP of my pains, this has all been done over the telephone and blood tests. I haven’t had any scans of any description. I am having a bad few weeks as have a flare up and had to go back up to 15mg Pred, feeling very weepy. GP is calling this afternoon about my recent blood tests, but my pain is really bad at the moment. I had spinal surgery years ago and have a new lower back pain that I think needs investigating but feel my GP is just putting it under the PMR label, she may be right but shouldn’t she do at least an XRay? This site is helping me knowing your not alone. Thank you.
I know the feeling was down at 4mg and was in a lot of pain I made up my mind I was not going back up want off those pills but had to go back to 7mg ,I was diagnosed 3 years ago we all have had some journey TAKE CARE
Good to here other stories makes me feel iam not alone on this journey
I was diagnosed may 2019 and managed to get down to 2.5mg by sept this year. I returned to work, part time.....and then suffered a flare and had to eventually increase back up to 12.5mg. I'm still struggling to get things under control but currently at 10mg. Feels like little progress in 18mths and felt very down like yourself! However......I'm determined to not dwell on this. Looking back is looking in the wrong direction. I need to look forward.....and I'm much more clued up (thanks to this community) and so more able to make better choices and more informed decisions. I have many blessings in my life and EVERY day I can find something to be thankful for. You will 'get there' Harrywogan.....as will I....eventually. Remember...always look forward....not backward....and try and be patient. So many of the people here have gone through this too ....We've got this!
