I had my biopsy 10 weeks ago. The procedure went smoothly and the result was negative. The surgeon said that the artery was very close to the surface. It was a very small incision. However, after all the time it's still quite pink and is sensitive to the touch. The surgeon said it would take about 90 days to heal. Has anyone else had similar issues? I was on 15 mg of prednisolone for 3 weeks, then 10mg for 4 weeks and now on 7.5mg. I have no pain. I've read that being on steroids can slow the healing process. I'm just a bit concerned......

Depends what you mean by heal. For a wound to fully heal and the tissues to mature is a year or so. A scar can stay pink for many months. I think mine didn’t go fully white for about 2 years. The nerves have been cut, so it’ll probably always feel peculiar but there’s still much time for improvement. I found mine became more tender during Pred withdrawal. Without seeing it, it is difficult to say what is going on exactly, but generally I’d expect to still be a bit uncomfortable. Tenderness that is persistent and bothers you even when you are not touching it, pulsing feeling, oozing or swellings need to be looked at. A general, uniform pink tenderness that is very local is generally less of a worry than a specific area on the suture line. As I said, without any visual guide, this is a bit of a stab in the dark, pardon the pun.
Mine took a while as I think I had a bit of infection near one of the stitches, so it took a bit longer. It’s fine now and pretty invisible x
