are these pains with steroids

hi,just a question feeling sick,pains in stomach feeling bloated,do ankles swell up.job to sleep at nite.pains in arms and shoulders. iam on 10mg. due to go to 9mg.on 1st.oct.sorry if i am being a pain asking these thinks. i am due to go back to work on 1st nov. am housekeeper in nurseing home,dont know what to do,with corvid 19 being around again.thanks,

Not sure the bloated stomach is a common side effect of Pred - but sure some will say they’ve had it.

I am concerned that 2 months ago you said you were on 15mg, now you say 10mg and intending(?) to reduce to 9mg on 1 October.

If that’s correct then much too fast - I know GCA was suspected and then dismissed so you have been tapering quickly - but now you are back in PMR territory and need to slow up.

The arms/shoulders and maybe ankles sound like not enough Pred. - and unfortunately the lack of sleep is a very common side effect.

Also, the state you’re in, no way are you going to be able to return to work in near future - you need to get symptoms better controlled.

You need to talk to doctor and get things sorted sensibly.

hi,thanks. i went from 15mg to 10mg then to 9mg.sept 1st.in middle of month i stared to get these headaches so went to drs.and she put me back 10mg.she to stay on tat for 4 weeks,then had a call from rheumatology,and she said to stay til the end off month.then go to 9mmg again.
