Sorry if I have asked this previously . 2 years is a long time!

My toes are constantly numb . Only started with the PMR . Is this a common condition ?

Not painful just numb.

Am I alone with this one?

Hello, have you ever sought medical opinion on this? If so, what did they say?

What is the colour of your feet like?

Hi there.

Nope , I just assumed this is / was one of the side affects of the PMR.

Feet same colour as pre PMR.

Well, it might well be, but I’d want to rule out other things first.

I have heard people complain of this symptom before and would seek a diagnosis and treatment in your place.

I get this frequently in the evening. Mine does not feel like circulatory, more like a nerve connection. It’s been happening since the beginning of GCA. I shamefully use it as an excuse for a foot massage from my excellent hubby😘.

Me to...numb feet and ‘uncomfortable’ at night. Have recently had a ‘Dopla’. Test at my surgery and my circulation was fine. It would seem that it is ‘neuropathy’ probably due to back injury some 30 years ago. I am now 73.

I have recently started having my legs/feet professionally massaged....this has helped..keeps the blood moving.

Yes, I get that, have it now....mine is because of Myopathy, weakness etc because of long term steroids.....but it may not be the case with you, just get it checked out.....

Morning, you may have read my post several months ago that suddenly one evening with my feet elevated the toes on my left foot were numb. I immediately thought it was vasculitis. Now my right foot is the same. I'm seeing my rheumy beginning of Oct so will discuss this with him. Seems that a few of us have the same so must be something to do with either PMR or GCA, both of which I have, or at least did have....hoping they don't return as I taper.

I have had numb toes since I was diagnosed to, tends to be the middle 2 toes on each foot. It goes and then comes back when I taper too quickly and symptoms return. I discussed with my rheumatologist. It may be the inflammation pressing on a nerve. Hopefully nothing to be concerned about.

I've dealt with the same issue for years now. Some times during the day I notice it more than other times but it's never painful. For me it's a byproduct of long term use of steroids. I truthfully don't think of it much as I'm used to it.
