Hi everybody, thanks for all your lovely replies, I'm glad I found this forum it's great to be able to talk to people in the same position as me. I am only on 15mg prednisone which I take in the morning. But I have to agree that it was really helpful that my Doc diagnosed me quickly over the phone (and arranged the blood test) I am signed off work at the moment but taking that week by week. Tried to stay awake all day today so that might help me sleep tonight 🤞

Sleepysusie
I often sleep during the day - just for 45 mins / 1 hour - and it does not affect my night time sleep and I often could not manage without it. Sometimes it would be an afternoon nap or retiring to bed at 7pm!
Hi Susie, welcome to the forum. You are in the right place, many highly experienced and qualified people here who will happily give advice and help. I think the sleep scenario ends up with working out what works best for you and your situation. For those of us who don't have to get up everyday to go to work that is obviously easier to manage as we can/do fit in rest/doze/sleep times during the day. I'm usually up around 02:00 to take my Pred which seems to get me pretty much through the day. There are OTC remedy which can help but it's probably good to try and avoid anything that becomes addictive. I'm sure others will be along to share their far more extensive thoughts and experiences/expertise.
