I too woke up one morning with crippling pain, took two months for a clear diagnosis. There is usually a bit of a roller coaster, esp if you have a clueless Pred-tapering doctor. However, once on Prednisone, I began golfing again. That was over two years ago, and I still golf 2-3 x week. Though you may not be totally symptom free, you will adjust like the rest of us to a new normal with gratitude for all the things you can still do. I’m now on 3.5 mg and steadily improving.

I assume you meant this to be a reply to Nick? Rather than a new thread?

Yes, though I did hit Reply. Guess it started a new thread. Thanks
